Shea Butter HINTS for applying it easier? Organic Shea Butter is solid at room temperature, liquid at body temperature. But how do you get it to body temperature quickly? Toss the closed jar into the tub, or into the bottom of the shower, it will soften up as you bathe. Even better, you are preparing your skin by hydration and opening your pores. So your skin and the butter are ready at the same time! I take heart medication, can I still use your Pink Grapefruit Products? YES! The caution about eating pink grapefruit when taking certain medications is not applicable when the grapefruit is applied to the skin. It is an inter- action in the stomach, not through the blood stream that they are concerned with. How do I use Body Polish? Step into the shower, or climb into the bath. Let the warm water hydrate your skin and open your pores. In the shower, be assured that in the time it takes for you to shampoo your hair, your pores are open and ready for polishing. Scoop the polish from the jar with your hand and rub it over your body. A loofah is not required. The crystals of salt scour the dead layers of skin from the surface, as the oils are worked deeply into the open pores. You are moisturizing your skin at the very best time, when your pores are open and ready to accept the treatment! How about shaving? Polish first, rinse, then shave . . . .Polish is an excellent step to take for shaving your face, your legs, wherever! The tiny crystals of salt, liberate hairs from skin. Optionally, you can rinse with cooler water, the oils will thicken with the cooler water, leaving a perfect shaving barrier. Body Polish give you a smooth, moisturizing shave that is unlike any other. If you tend towards dry skin, you can finish the process with Organic Body Oil, or Organic Body Butter. How much should I use? Take about a teaspoon in your palm and rub one area of the body at a time, focusing more on elbows, knees or other rough areas. It will rinse cleanly away once the stream of water hits it. For a thorough body balancing treatment, turn off the shower, or stand up in the tub and apply to the entire body before rinsing. It is a Totally Organic Experience! How often do I use Polish? Every time you bathe or shower if you like, though people tend to polish once or twice a week. Remember, this is your cleanser, moisturizer in one. You do not need to apply anything else, in between, though you may choose to add Organic Body oil or Organic Body butter just out of the bath. As seldom as weekly keeps the skin soft, supple, and moisturized without the use of any other moisturizer. I am on a Salt restricted diet, can I use your Polish? YES! People on salt restricted diets can confidently use Body Polish. Sodium is not absorbed through the skin. Do I still have to use soap? Not if you're using Body Polish. The salt scrubs away any dirt or dead skin, and in addition salt is anti-bacterial while promoting new cell growth. It is a great chemical free cleanser, gentle enough for everyday use. This is what people did before the discovery of soap! If you wish to use soap, use it first, then polish. Will it clog my pores? No! The Organic vegetable oils which we use will not clog your pores, each has a molecular size smaller than the pores. The exfoliating action of the sea salt actually opens clogged pores. Will it clog my drain? NO. Salt dissolves and the oils are water soluble as well. If the drain slows, warm water thins the oils, cold will thicken them. How do I get my shower squeaky clean after polishing? When your have just polished, the shower is still hot, simply swish the shower floor with the shower stream. If you feel more is needed, a simple squirt of any lemon dish detergent with the swish will finish the job.
